A Legacy Forged in the Lone Star State

Our story begins with dad, at Phelan Farms. If you’ve ever met Doug Phelan, you know he claims the best sermon happens under the open sky of our Lockhart ranch. What began in 1973 as a modest cattle operation in Austin, then moved to Lockhart, grew into a way of life. Doug’s reverence for the land and its creatures is the bedrock of our family’s work, and it’s the same spirit that drives everything at Blue’s today.
