Intro

We don’t mess around when it comes to chili in Texas. It’s hearty, it’s bold, and thanks to Phelan Farms ground Wagyu Ground Beef, it’s got a flavor that’ll have you comin’ back for seconds (and thirds)..

Directions

  • Heat oil in a big ol’ pot. Add onion and bell pepper, cook till soft.
  • Add garlic and wagyu ground beef. Brown it up and break it apart.
  • Stir in spices, cook for 1 minute.
  • Add tomatoes and beans. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat, and let it bubble for 30–40 minutes.
  • Serve in bowls with toppings—or over Fritos if you’re feelin’ wild.
  • Serves: 6

  • 2 lbs Phelan Farms Wagyu Ground Beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained
  • Salt and pepper
  • Optional: shredded cheese, sour cream, jalapeños
