Intro

If you love a classic Philly cheesesteak but want to kick it up a notch with Texas flavor and some real steak, this sandwich is your new best friend. Using tender Phelan Farms Wagyu Flat Iron Steak, sautéed peppers and onions, and plenty of melty cheese, it’s a no-fuss, proud-to-serve meal that'll fill your boots.

Directions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté peppers and onions until soft and slightly caramelized, about 8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed and cook the thinly sliced wagyu flat iron steak for 2-3 minutes until just browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Return peppers and onions to the pan, toss with wagyu steak.
  • Split rolls, spread mayo if using, layer steak mixture, then top with cheese slices.
  • Place sandwiches on a baking sheet under a broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until cheese melts and edges of rolls are toasted.
  • Serve hot and enjoy every juicy bite.
